Member of Technical Staff, Compiler

About the role

Research how far frontier models can go in extracting, structuring and proving clinical logic, then ship the winning methods into a compiler used in public health care. Design experiments that settle what works.

What you will do

• Build a pipeline that converts clinical standards into executable modules through parsing, transformation and validation
• Design and refine the target representation for guideline logic including exclusions, precedence and recommendations
• Run experiments comparing open and closed models, fine-tuning and constrained decoding

What they look for

• At least three years of research or industry experience, or being a final-year PhD student or postdoc
• Python, PyTorch and Transformers or LLM experience
• Knowledge of static analysis and SMT or SAT solvers
• Based in the US or Canada with citizenship or a Green Card

Nice to have

• Published work in clinical AI
• FHIR or HL7 v2 familiarity
