Residential Appraisal Analyst

About the role

Review residential property appraisals, evaluations and validations for a bank, keeping the work compliant with internal policy and regulatory rules. The role also supports audits, policy updates and colleagues who have appraisal questions.

What you will do

• Review appraisal and evaluation reports and confirm they follow bank policy
• Carry out validations and in-house evaluations when needed
• Help with regulatory exams, internal audits and updates to appraisal policies and bulletins
• Answer appraisal questions from staff and appraisers and help train them
• Track the appraisal pipeline across departments and resolve request or review problems
• Check that outside appraisers have suitable skills and that their fees are reasonable

What they look for

• Solid experience and knowledge of residential appraisals
• Familiarity with USPAP, FIRREA, OCC, HVCC and FNMA or FHLMC appraisal rules
• Comfort with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook plus general office equipment
• Clear spoken and written communication and basic English skills
• Good organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritise assignments and learn new software
