Sales and Business Development Manager, Outbound

About the role

Own outbound sales for a software product aimed at nonprofit agencies, building a repeatable process and closing new customers to hit revenue targets. The role reports to the chief executive.

What you will do

• Build and document a repeatable outbound prospecting process with senior leaders
• Maintain a healthy pipeline and move prospects through each sales stage
• Track outreach volume, time to close and conversion rates, and report on revenue progress
• Research target segments beyond the core nonprofit agency market
• Refine the value proposition and create supporting content such as articles, checklists and case studies
• Lead discovery meetings, tailor and run software demonstrations, and prepare quotes and handoff briefings

What they look for

• Deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector, its funding, reporting duties and operational pain points
• Self-directed and organised, able to manage a full pipeline with little supervision
• Excellent relationship building and active listening skills
• Strong written and verbal communication, with audience specific messaging
• Experience with CRM tools and pipeline management
• Comfortable demonstrating software and explaining technical features to non-technical audiences
