Senior AI and Cloud-Native Software Architect

About the role

The architect owns the software and cloud native design of AI enabled applications and retrieval systems from concept through production, pairing architectural leadership with hands on engineering.

What you will do

• Design secure, scalable architectures for AI applications, defining service boundaries, data flows and APIs
• Productionize generative AI and retrieval augmented generation solutions, covering model choice, evaluation and guardrails
• Build backend services in TypeScript or Node.js and Python, plus event driven workflows
• Define non functional requirements, weigh trade offs and record decisions in architecture records
• Guide engineers through architecture and code reviews and set up observability and secure delivery pipelines

What they look for

• Seven or more years of software engineering experience
• Proven ownership of architecture for production distributed systems using microservices and domain driven design
• Hands on delivery of production generative AI or LLM applications with evaluation and safety controls
• Strong engineering skills in TypeScript or Node.js, or in Python
• Deep knowledge of cloud native patterns including Kubernetes, serverless, messaging and resilience

Nice to have

• Conversational and contact center tools such as WhatsApp Business API, Amazon Connect, Amazon Lex, Twilio and voice bots
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or similar certification
