What you will do

• Run inpatient coding audits for facility reporting
• Deliver education to clients, coders and providers based on audit findings
• Analyze results to spot patterns, trends and problem areas, then name chances for coder improvement
• Keep patient and physician information confidential under federal, state and hospital rules
• Use coding books, procedure manuals and online encoders as references

What they look for

• RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS/P or CPC credential
• Three or more years of inpatient auditing experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT-4 codes
• MS Office skills and the ability to work independently with close attention to detail
