Own the backend and data infrastructure that turns payer policy documents into structured, searchable coverage data, and lead technical decisions for a small engineering group.
What you will do
- Scale the scraping platform that collects policy data from many payers
- Build LLM workflows that extract medical codes and coverage rules from policy text
- Create evaluation and testing harnesses to track extraction accuracy
- Monitor failures, find root causes and ship fixes
- Review pull requests and set architecture for part-time and offshore engineers
What they look for
- Five or more years building production backend systems in Python
- Experience with pipelines that ingest, clean and normalize messy data
- Hands-on deployment of backend services on a major cloud platform
- Experience reviewing code and owning architectural decisions
- English at C1 level for calls with US-based founders
Nice to have
- LLM extraction or classification with evaluation harnesses
- RAG pipeline experience
