Senior Backend Engineer (.NET)

About the role

Build and modernise scalable backend services for a benefits platform used by millions of employees worldwide, taking a lead role in design and architecture.

What you will do

• Take charge of designing and building scalable backend services in C.NET and .NET Core for the benefits product
• Work with product and engineering colleagues to set technical requirements, keep delivery quality high and steer architecture choices
• Move legacy systems toward microservices, containerisation with Kubernetes and cloud-native approaches
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines so deployment and delivery run smoothly
• Promote strong engineering practice in coding, architecture and process, and coordinate with distributed teams
• Cooperate with engineers coming from Java Spring Boot backgrounds to integrate systems and share knowledge

What they look for

• Solid senior-level background in .NET and .NET Core backend development
• Practical experience with SQL and modern backend architecture
• Familiarity with microservices, containerisation and cloud-native practices
• Ability to work with remote colleagues and communicate clearly across teams
• Based in the UK or Ireland, since visa sponsorship is not offered
