What you will do
- Administer and tune MySQL and InnoDB on AWS RDS and Aurora MySQL, from provisioning and scaling to patching, upgrades and retirement
- Improve performance through execution plan analysis, query and index tuning and InnoDB configuration
- Build and maintain backup, restore, point-in-time recovery and disaster recovery procedures meeting set RTOs and RPOs

- Extensive hands-on MySQL work with deep InnoDB internals knowledge
- Strong experience running MySQL on AWS RDS or Aurora MySQL
- Proven performance tuning, query optimization and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with backups, restores, point-in-time recovery, disaster recovery and high availability
- Hands-on use of CloudWatch and Performance Insights or Database Insights
Nice to have
- Terraform or CloudFormation
