About the role

The work supports government clients in defense, civilian and homeland security, so some staff handle controlled unclassified information. Design choices are weighed for whether they scale or pile up technical debt.

At a glance

What you will do

• Build data management and governance solutions in Databricks and Unity Catalog
• Set tagging, metadata and classification standards so data can be found and traced
• Apply governance across the Bronze, Silver and Gold layers as data changes
• Write and tune SQL and Spark pipelines for production use

What they look for

• A BS or BA plus six years of hands-on Databricks and Unity Catalog work in production, or equivalent
• Track record designing governance, tagging and metadata standards
• Clear grasp of medallion architecture and how access needs shift across layers
• Strong SQL and Spark, and declarative pipeline configuration such as YAML kept under version control

Nice to have

• Some exposure to cybersecurity, OCSF or threat intelligence
