Senior Financial Crimes Investigator (AML)

About the role

Lead investigations into suspicious financial activity, support regulatory compliance and carry out quality control. The role offers independence and decision-making authority while working with clients on financial crime risk.

What you will do

• Spot data anomalies and red flags tied to money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud and sanctions, escalating cases for second-level revi
• Confirm client identities and the purpose of their banking relationship in line with KYC procedures
• Carry out quality control tasks when required
• Handle advanced duties such as client communication, production data analysis and creating client-specific aids and training materials
• Give analysts independent support with workflow items and administrative tasks
• Submit written work for internal and client quality review, adjust it from feedback and apply the lessons going forward

What they look for

• A completed bachelor's degree
• Ability to investigate suspicious activity thoroughly, analyze findings and draft detailed Suspicious Activity Reports to regulatory and cli
• Strong knowledge of the financial or banking sector and its laws and regulations
• Clear written and spoken communication, including narrative summaries that synthesize recommendations and conclusions
• A record of meeting or beating daily production targets with good time management, attention to detail and prioritization
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
