Senior Ruby on Rails Engineer

About the role

You will build and scale backend features for an AI companionship platform used by millions, working hands-on alongside the CTO, tech lead and a distributed engineering team.

What you will do

• Design, build and maintain scalable backend services in Ruby on Rails
• Develop new features and enhance existing platform functionality
• Translate product requirements into technical plans and effort estimates
• Write clean, well-tested production code and take part in reviews
• Diagnose issues and improve performance, reliability and scalability
• Collaborate with engineering, product and infrastructure colleagues across locations

What they look for

• At least five years of commercial backend or full stack engineering experience
• Strong hands-on Ruby on Rails work, ideally recent and in production
• Track record of scaling production applications with real users
• Ownership of features from requirements through testing and deployment
• Strong problem solving and good English for international teamwork

Nice to have

• Familiarity with current Rails practices and AI-assisted coding tools
• Experience in globally distributed engineering teams

Pay

EUR 75,000 to 105,000 per year
