Build and maintain a cloud-based Shopify app ecosystem for an agency serving eCommerce brands. The work centers on new app and feature development while keeping existing apps healthy.

What you will do
- Track Shopify API releases, deprecations and sunsets and assess their impact on apps and clients
- Apply SEO and answer engine best practices so apps and storefront code support crawling, indexing and speed
- Troubleshoot client sites and app data flows for tracking accuracy in Google Analytics 4 and Tag Manager
- Coordinate with global web teams on code reviews and releases, and report progress and blockers to stakeholders
What they look for
- At least four years of professional software development experience
- At least two years building and shipping production Shopify apps
- Advanced JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and React skills
- Strong SQL and relational database design knowledge
- Knowledge of GraphQL, REST APIs, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, Liquid and Online Store 2.0 themes
Nice to have
- Agency experience supporting multiple clients
- A launched app in the Shopify App Store
- Shopify Plus or Hydrogen headless storefront experience
- Familiarity with Magento, BigCommerce, WooCommerce, Prisma, Docker or Figma
