Senior Software Engineer, Applied AI

About the role

You will build language model features used daily by clinical, client success and member experience teams, and ship them inside a live production platform. The role is hands on engineering rather than research, with early work focused on clinical programs.

What you will do

• Build and extend LLM features on AWS Bedrock, including document OCR and extraction, summarisation, decision support, retrieval over policy
• Set up and maintain evaluations so quality drift in AI features is caught
• Handle production concerns such as structured output, failure modes, cost and latency, and judge when a deterministic method is better
• Add missing test and lint gates and treat CI as part of done, with PHI handling as a core design constraint

What they look for

• Comfort with a server rendered front end such as Jinja2, Tailwind, Alpine.js or htmx
• Fluency in Linux for development and comfort working from Windows over remote desktop into a secure environment
