What you will do
- Design, build and maintain web-scale data systems
- Find, analyse and validate new data sets that add customer value
- Research and apply advanced techniques and technologies
- Give code reviews, design feedback, demos and technical documentation
- Provide accurate estimates of time, capacity and cost for projects
- Offer technical leadership and help onboard and mentor junior engineers
What they look for
- Five or more years of professional development in Python, Go, Rust or similar languages
- Three or more years with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, Docker and Kubernetes
- Three or more years of professional Kafka experience
- Five or more years working in Linux or Unix environments
- Strong communication and the ability to coordinate across teams
Nice to have
- Degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience designing, building or maintaining CI/CD and microservices
- Experience with data mining, machine learning, text codecs, web protocols, Bash, Scala, C, Hive or full stack work
