Senior Strategic Communications Advisor

About the role

Grow public visibility of maternal health and mental health research through earned and social media until the end of 2027. Turn research findings into coverage, public conversation and partner-facing writing.

What you will do

• Work with research leads to find newsworthy findings in long-form reports and package them for press and social channels
• Write executive summaries aimed at CEO and board audiences
• Create rollout plans for state-specific briefs that blend data with youth lived-experience insights
• Build and run an annual communications and marketing strategy aligned with research release schedules and partner priorities
• Own social media planning and content, turning reports and milestones into posts, threads and campaigns

• Experience as a communications consultant
• Passion for putting evidence in front of journalists, decision-makers and the public
• Skill in earned media and social media engagement
• Ability to translate research into compelling public-facing findings
• Strong writing for funder- and partner-facing audiences
