What you will do

  • Run assigned projects end to end, from early concept through bid documents and construction administration.
  • Lead structural design on several projects at once, set priorities, and direct the designers assigned to you.
  • Take ownership as lead engineer: check other designers' work and answer for its technical quality.
  • Produce project reports, calculations, drawings and specifications, and join design and coordination meetings.
  • Visit sites for surveys and construction checks, write field reports, review submittals and RFIs, and handle change orders.

What they look for

  • A bachelor's degree in structural, civil or architectural engineering with a structural focus.
  • A PE or SE license and at least 10 years of related experience.
  • A track record on new builds, renovations or additions.
  • Experience with hospitals, military bases, government buildings, labs or similar facilities.
