What you will do
- Take charge of automation for a product area, joining planning while scope and risk are still easy to change
- Choose the cheapest test layer that still catches defects, using API, end to end or smoke tests as appropriate
- Grow the test framework with page objects, flows, typed API clients and fixtures other engineers can extend
- Work with product and engineering to keep designs testable and automation trustworthy rather than noisy
- Own continuous integration end to end tests, fixing flakiness at its source instead of rerunning
- Report coverage, risk and defects with useful evidence, separating product bugs from automation or environment issues
