Strategic Sales Development Representative, State and Local

About the role

The role supports the state and local government sales team by building prospecting plans, qualifying new opportunities and creating early stage pipeline across law enforcement and public safety agencies.

What you will do

• Build and own a prospecting plan for each state and local territory alongside account executives
• Generate and qualify new sales opportunities, prioritizing independently based on business needs
• Carry out outbound prospecting by email, phone, LinkedIn and other channels
• Research agencies, departments and stakeholders to find relevant use cases
• Schedule meetings and demos for account executives across the United States
• Track activity and pipeline data accurately in Salesforce

What they look for

• Eight or more years in enterprise software or SaaS customer success or account management, with public sector experience
• Experience giving product support at the user level
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot
• Strong organization, time management and relationship building skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication with close attention to detail
• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and willingness to travel within the United States

Nice to have

• Experience selling to or supporting state and local law enforcement
• Knowledge of procurement processes such as RFPs, RFIs and contracts
• Experience with public sector technology
• Understanding of compliance, privacy or regulatory environments

USD 60,000 to 70,000 per year
