Vice President, Business Development

About the role

A senior business development leader owns deal strategy and execution for a defined book of business, focusing on Medicaid managed care and value-based care contracting. The role also leads senior payer relationships and shapes growth planning.

What you will do

• Own origination through contract execution across Medicaid managed care, commercial insurance and provider segments
• Negotiate value-based care contracts directly with payers across the full contract scope
• Set deal structure and risk modeling, with pricing recommendations to executives
• Shape growth strategy including market prioritization and go-to-market plans
• Mobilize finance, legal, clinical and implementation leaders as deals move to launch

What they look for

• A bachelor's degree, with an MBA or graduate business degree strongly preferred
• Ten or more years of progressive healthcare experience across plans, providers or delivery organizations
• A proven record as lead negotiator on value-based care payer contracts from start to finish
• Ability to build senior payer relationships and serve as main external contact
• Deep expertise in value-based care, risk arrangements and Medicaid managed care
• Experience managing, mentoring and developing direct reports
