WEKA Data Platform Administrator

About the role

Day-to-day ownership of a WEKA environment for AI hyperscaler customers: health, upgrades, capacity, file systems and tuning for the workloads tenants actually run.

At a glance

What you will do

• Handle monitoring, health checks, upgrades, capacity, configuration and audits for the deployment.
• Set up file systems, object storage tiering, snapshots, quotas and POSIX, NFS, SMB and S3 protocols as tenants grow.
• Apply approved changes with scope, risk class, validation and a rollback, then record the result.

What they look for

• Hands-on administration of the WEKA Data Platform in production environments.
• Comfort with Kubernetes, the WEKA operator and CSI driver, plus GPU node clients and SR-IOV networking.
• Scripting and automation skills in Python, Bash and Ansible.
• Ability to write runbooks a backup engineer can follow, including recovery and rollback steps.
• Judgment to spot drift, capacity pressure and anomalies and raise them early with a fix.

Nice to have

• Experience tuning per-tenant QoS and performance baselines with benchmarks.

A typical week

• Watch the environment for drift, capacity pressure and anomalies and report them with a suggested path.
• Work with tenants and their platform teams to see how each workload uses storage.
• Tune layout, tiering, snapshot policy, quotas and QoS to fit the workload.
• Check client configuration and scripts before they reach production.
