Workers' Compensation Excess/SDF Claims Specialist

About the role

A remote claims role handling excess reporting and Self-Insured Fund claims for workers' compensation clients. The specialist keeps reporting timely and compliant with contract terms and state rules.

What you will do

• Submit excess reports to excess carriers within contract timelines and financial thresholds
• Manage SDF claims through to conclusion under company and state regulations
• Coordinate with clients and their agents to keep excess policies and declaration pages on file
• Notify excess carriers of claims and provide initial, supplemental and final reports
• Evaluate files for SDF potential and pursue state reimbursement requirements
• Maintain file diaries, system documentation and state reporting compliance

What they look for

• One to two years of claims handling experience under Florida workers' compensation law
• One to two years of office experience
• An active adjuster license, such as Florida 5-24
• Working knowledge of workers' compensation claims and state-specific rules
