Account Representative I

About the role

A sales role focused on growing a book of business by winning customers from rivals and expanding mid-sized accounts into larger ones, while keeping clients satisfied through regular contact.

What you will do

• Grow revenue and profit by winning new business and developing current accounts
• Find new leads through cold calling, networking and directory or web research
• Meet customers in person to build relationships and keep them satisfied
• Gather complex customer needs and prepare tailored quotations
• Give effective sales presentations and make sure technical needs are met
• Coordinate vendor resources to support sales and help resolve on-site customer issues

What they look for

• Typically a bachelor's degree with up to two years of experience, or an equivalent mix
• Familiarity with industrial products such as power transmission, hydraulic and pneumatic goods
• Strong written and spoken communication
• Solid grasp of core sales principles and practices
• Ability to influence customers while keeping relationships healthy
• Self-starter who manages time well, multitasks and uses Microsoft Office
