Area Business Manager

About the role

A regional leadership role guiding a diagnostics sales and technical team across the southwest United States. The manager sets strategy, coaches staff and drives sales results within the assigned territory.

What you will do

• Lead, coach and develop the area's diagnostics sales consultants and technical specialists toward set objectives
• Spend most field time coaching staff to strengthen their core skills and professional growth
• Reach or surpass area sales quotas and steer launches of new products, services and equipment
• Build yearly strategic business plans covering demographics, economics, performance, potential and tracking for each territory and the area
• Coordinate marketing resources across the area and handle administrative and reporting duties such as operating expenses and performance rev
• Take part in product launches and periodic regional or area sales meetings, and handle special projects as directed

What they look for

• An undergraduate degree (BS or BA)
• At least three years of experience leading and managing people
• A track record of people leadership and creative problem solving that improved sales results
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, business management and computer skills
• Comfort working in cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at every organisational level
• Ability to manage an assigned expense budget and a customer-focused professional manner
