Business Development Associate

About the role

Act as the firm's face in the US market, building relationships with intermediaries, founders and corporate development teams to source acquisition opportunities.

What you will do

• Plan events in advance with target attendee lists, booked meetings and follow-up
• Build and maintain relationships with bankers, advisors, brokers and business owners
• Keep intermediaries informed of investment criteria so suitable deals arrive early
• Own the CRM and report weekly on pipeline, conversion and relationship activity

What they look for

• A record of building relationships that generated revenue or deal flow and meeting targets
• Comfort with finance basics such as reading a P&L, recurring revenue metrics and valuation
• Confident communication with bankers, founders and executives, plus disciplined follow-up
• Strong organisation for a multi-event travel calendar and CRM pipeline

Nice to have

• An existing network of software bankers, advisors or brokers
• Prior exposure to sell-side or buy-side M&A processes
