Business Development Director

About the role

A senior sales role focused on winning and onboarding new advisor clients within the independent broker dealer channel, while growing assets and relationships across a defined territory.

What you will do

• Direct territory growth and business development for firms in the independent broker dealer channel
• Partner with an account executive to plan and execute territory strategy
• Study market data, trends, buyer preferences and competitor moves to guide growth
• Win and develop new advisor client relationships throughout the buying journey
• Build and run growth plans that persuade prospects to change and convert
• Engage clients in person, online, by phone and email, and through presentations

What they look for

• At least seven years in financial services client sales and service support
• A bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics or a similar field
• A current Series 65 or 66 license, or the ability to obtain one within 90 days
• Strong background in consultative selling and influencing senior decision makers
• Experience communicating across face to face, group, video, phone and email channels
• A proven record in territory planning, execution and travel

Nice to have

• Direct experience selling in the independent broker dealer channel
• An MBA or CFP credential, or similar advanced qualification
