Business Development Representative

About the role

Manage a Northern California territory selling products, services and practice solutions to independent eye care professionals. Grow new business and consolidate share of wallet through consultative selling.

What you will do

• Meet or exceed sales growth targets for direct prescription business and strategic programs
• Segment the territory using CRM account classification and identify key customer targets
• Profile each customer's store operation, financials and business model to build value-based sales strategies
• Plan and prepare sales calls, anticipate objections and close deals
• Create territory plans that treat the area like an owned franchise
• Document customer records and activity in the CRM system

What they look for

• Business-to-business sales experience with a record of sourcing and developing new clients
• Ability to use consultative and conceptual selling approaches
• Willingness to live within the assigned territory
• Skill at persuading eye care professionals to change behavior and adopt new products
