Senior Business Development Manager, SBL

About the role

Grow the SBA and conventional commercial lending portfolio by winning new client relationships and guiding borrowers through the lending lifecycle. The role combines origination, referral network building and credit assessment.

What you will do

• Build referral networks through centers of influence, CDC offices and community partners
• Guide clients from initial qualification to closing as their main point of contact
• Work with credit and operations teams to prepare loan packages for underwriting
• Cross-sell bank products and represent the bank at networking and industry events

What they look for

• Six or more years of SBA lending experience, or equivalent education and work experience
• Proven success building referral networks and generating new business
• Strong financial analysis skills including cash flow, collateral and loan structuring
• Solid knowledge of SBA programs and commercial credit underwriting
• Excellent relationship management, communication and presentation skills

Nice to have

• Existing network of centers of influence and referral partners
• Experience working with CDC offices and SBA lenders
