Business Development Representative

About the role

A new business role focused on opening doors with clinical research organisations and life sciences sponsors, helping to build a growing go to market function from the ground up.

What you will do

• Identify and pursue new prospects across pharma, biotech, device, CRO, academic and research site organisations
• Research accounts, clinical programmes and technology setups before starting outreach
• Run personalised outreach by email, phone, LinkedIn, events, webinars and referrals
• Qualify opportunities by learning about systems, challenges, stakeholders, timing and fit
• Hold introductory and discovery calls and take growing ownership of deals through demos and pricing
• Keep CRM records accurate and share market and competitor insight with the wider team

• Comfortable creating pipeline through outbound effort rather than relying on inbound demand
• Persistent and self motivated while deliberate about how time is spent
• Able to build credibility and relationships with senior decision makers
• Disciplined, professional follow up across long sales cycles
