Commercial Account Manager

About the role

Own and grow a portfolio of business clients for a payments and financial operations platform, driving revenue through expansion and new business while reporting to the CEO.

What you will do

• Grow revenue and expand an existing portfolio of business clients
• Find and close upsell and cross-sell chances by learning client needs and payment flows
• Keep a healthy pipeline of opportunities with reliable forecasting and closed deals
• Win back underused accounts and retain clients who may be about to leave
• Guide the commercial side of onboarding and build ties with key decision makers
• Generate new business via referrals, existing relationships and targeted outreach

What they look for

• At least three years in a business-to-business commercial role with revenue responsibility
• Record of hitting targets through account growth, upselling and cross-selling
• Background in a technology setting, ideally payments, fintech or financial services
• Strong commercial sense, negotiation ability and deal closing skills
• Analytical skills to use data for spotting opportunities and decisions
• Excellent English and Maltese, written and spoken

Nice to have

• Familiarity with CRM systems, especially Zoho
