Community Ambassador (Freelance)

About the role

A part-time freelance role supporting and growing a game's player community, acting as a link between players and the development team and reporting on engagement and sentiment.

What you will do

• Moderate and nurture the assigned community platforms and keep them healthy and welcoming
• Plan and carry out community activities and write the text shared on those platforms
• Gather player feedback and relay the community's needs to the development team
• Track reach, engagement and sentiment of your activities and report results to the community manager
• Work with the community manager on daily operations and agree your weekly hours

What they look for

• Fluent written and spoken English
• Confident, calm communication with strong interpersonal skills
• Good at organising your own time
• Prior experience running or moderating active fan communities or similar projects
• Familiarity with major social and community platforms such as X, YouTube and Discord

Nice to have

• Managing online communities on forums, Reddit or Discord, including posting and moderation
• Producing reports that capture player sentiment
• Making shortform video content for YouTube, TikTok or Instagram
• Livestreaming experience
