Data Engineer V

About the role

Lead the technical direction and daily delivery of a data engineering pod covering core data warehouse pipelines and AI retrieval data infrastructure.

What you will do

• Lead and mentor a pod of engineers, prioritising work and driving on-time Agile delivery
• Set standards for source management, version control and QA including AI-assisted code
• Define metrics strategy and own SLA and SLO tracking for pipelines
• Report KPIs such as uptime, recovery time and data quality to leadership
• Own root-cause analysis and fixes for complex pipeline and data quality issues
• Act as technical liaison to business and clinical stakeholders and shape the roadmap

What they look for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
• Eight to twelve years in technology with substantial data-focused leadership
• Six to eight years architecting data solutions on a cloud platform
• Two or more years formally leading engineers or technical workstreams
• Expert SQL, data modelling and semantic layer design
• Experience with batch and streaming tools such as Spark, Airflow, Databricks or Snowflake

Nice to have

• Cloud Professional Data Engineer or ML Engineer certification
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, HL7 and FHIR
• Experience setting standards for LLM and RAG data architecture at scale

Pay

USD 165,830 to 243,141.80 per year
