What you will do

• Architect and deliver complex Shiny applications and R-based analytical tools
• Lead design reviews and set technical direction for the area
• Own human-in-the-loop validation for high-stakes models in the domain
• Own bias, safety and explainability evaluation of AI outputs, with attention to pediatric risk
• Partner with research investigators and clinicians on study design and analysis planning

What they look for

• Six to nine years in data science with significant project ownership
• Four to six years building and productionizing ML or generative AI solutions
• Four to six years of hands-on R, RStudio and Shiny application development
• Advanced statistics, machine learning and data mining expertise
• Deep understanding of generative AI and LLM architecture, including RAG and agentic designs

Nice to have

• Responsible-AI evaluation experience in a pediatric or clinical setting
• Experience with fine-tuning or advanced RAG and agentic architectures
• Running analyses in HPC or research-computing environments
• Working relationships with research investigators, including study design input
