  • Screen patients in person at the bedside and by phone for financial assistance programs
  • Guide families through Medicaid, Medicare, disability and charity care applications and submit documents on time
  • Own follow-up on a high caseload, tracking progress and meeting productivity and quality targets
  • Handle disability applications and appeals, including medical appointments and final determinations
  • Act as liaison between patients, hospital staff and government agencies, and help train new colleagues
