Financial Controller

About the role

Own the accuracy of financial records and build scalable accounting processes for a growing international medical device company. The role covers group close, consolidation, tax compliance and oversight of a small accounting team.

What you will do

• Run the monthly, quarterly and yearly close for the whole group
• Coordinate accounting across several legal entities and jurisdictions so practices stay consistent
• Oversee two accountants handling revenue, inventory, payroll, accruals, fixed assets and the general ledger
• Review journal entries, reconciliations and balance sheet accounts and resolve open items
• Own group consolidation, including intercompany eliminations and currency translation
• Coordinate VAT and indirect tax compliance and support annual audits

What they look for

• Hands-on experience owning financial close across multiple legal entities
• Knowledge of group consolidation and intercompany accounting
• Familiarity with VAT and indirect tax rules for direct-to-consumer, business and subscription sales
• Ability to supervise a small team and external accounting providers
• Comfort investigating complex accounting issues and reconciliations
• Valid work permit for the country of residence
