You will visit customers at home to value their jewellery, antiques and collectibles and to make purchase offers. The role is fully remote and involves daily travel to appointments.
What you will do
- Attend several home appointments per day on three or four days a week as an expert buyer
- Travel longer distances when needed, with drive times usually kept within two hours
- Treat every customer professionally and respectfully, whatever the value of their goods
- Make purchase offers and negotiate when necessary, explaining why some items are unsuitable
What they look for
- Keen interest in areas such as gold, jewellery, silver, cameras, toys, militaria or memorabilia
- Experience buying or selling antiques, collectibles and jewellery as a dealer or auction valuer
- Commercial awareness and confidence in sales and negotiation
- Personable, trustworthy manner and strong communication skills
- A proven record of building customer relationships
- Full UK driving licence and own car
