Junior Associate Attorney, Workers' Compensation

About the role

Defend employer-side workers' compensation claims from preparation through resolution, with training provided for newer attorneys. The firm invests in developing practical legal skills in a hybrid setting.

What you will do

• Research legal questions, examine case materials, and draft documents and correspondence
• Assist in defending workers' compensation claims from preparation to resolution
• Get ready for hearings and proceedings, with duties scaled to training and admission status
• Collaborate with attorneys and clients on case strategy and keep matters progressing
• Keep case files organized, monitor deadlines, and log billable hours accurately

What they look for

• Have passed the Illinois Bar Examination, with November admission pending acceptable
• Show interest in employer-side defense work and a willingness to learn
• Meet office attendance and travel expectations
• No prior attorney or workers' compensation experience needed
