Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)

About the role

A remote full-time counseling role serving Rhode Island clients with a steady caseload. The counselor provides video therapy, keeps organized records and decides when to involve other providers.

What you will do

• Hold one-on-one therapy sessions with clients over video
• Learn each client's history, present situation and reasons for seeking therapy
• Address concerns such as grief, stress, trauma, mood shifts and major life changes
• Help clients spot patterns that make difficulties worse
• Suggest practical ways to cope between sessions
• Keep case notes and required records organized and decide on referrals

What they look for

• Active Rhode Island LMHC license in good standing
• Experience delivering therapy or counseling services
• Solid grasp of assessments, treatment planning and documentation
• Strong communication and time management skills
