Manager, People Advocacy

About the role

Suits someone with a background in employee relations, HR or labour law who can mediate conflict and keep leaders accountable. Work spans case management, site visits and reporting to senior leadership.

At a glance

What you will do

• Design and run the employee advocacy strategy, from planning through to execution.
• Handle employee relations cases and projects, researching concerns and helping HR partners resolve them.
• Build feedback channels, turn what employees say into action plans, and follow up on site.
• Train leaders on people skills, working conditions, safety and how to resolve concerns early.

What they look for

• Seven or more years in employee relations, HR, employment law or labour relations.
• A bachelor's or master's in human resources or labour relations.
• Solid grasp of employment law basics and performance management practice.
• Confidence turning data and predictive analytics into plans that fix bad trends.
• Strong communication and mediation skills, plus training design and facilitation experience.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a call centre or customer service centre.

A typical week

• Research employee relations matters and respond to them, in person or remotely.
• Advise leaders on resolving concerns and limiting employment risk.
• Gather and analyse employee data to spot where to focus.
• Run training or site sessions, then deliver and follow up on action plans.
• Report updates to senior leadership on a set schedule.
