About the role

Provides employee relations guidance and case management to staff, leaders and HR partners, making sure matters are handled consistently and lawfully. Acts as the link between operating companies, worker representative bodies and central expert teams.

What you will do

• Advise HR and business leaders on employee relations questions and apply policies and employment law consistently
• Handle individual and collective cases, including workforce reductions and organisational changes needing consultation with works councils
• Run or support performance improvement, disciplinary processes, grievance hearings and similar staff matters
• Help develop and maintain employee relations policies, procedures, toolkits and standard work
• Keep case data and reporting, analyse trends and find ways to reduce risk and improve effectiveness

What they look for

• A bachelor's degree, a law degree or equivalent education and experience
• Over ten years in employee relations, HR business partnering, employment law or a related HR field in the jurisdiction
• Experience with investigations, performance management, discipline, grievances and workforce reductions
• Experience in a unionised setting or with works councils and employee representative bodies
• Knowledge of local employment laws and regulations, and willingness to travel up to a quarter of the time

Nice to have

• Employee relations experience in a manufacturing setting
• Advanced skill in preparing and negotiating collective agreements
