What you will do
- Analyse medical claims, pharmacy data and other healthcare datasets to spot cost and use trends
- Build financial models for new clinical programs, initiatives and value-based agreements
- Quantify savings opportunities and measure return on investment of what was rolled out
- Create reports, dashboards and presentations that explain findings to stakeholders
- Work with accounting, actuarial, underwriting, clinical and network teams on planning and payer negotiations
- Keep analysis data accurate and document methods and key decisions
What they look for
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, finance, public health, maths, actuarial science or data analytics
- One to three years of analytical experience in health insurance, managed care or a health system
- Proficiency in SQL for pulling and shaping data
- Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas
- Strong analysis, problem solving and communication skills
Nice to have
- Knowledge of STARs and risk adjustment
- Experience with Tableau or Power BI
- Familiarity with SAS, R or Python
