Medical Malpractice Attorney

About the role

A litigation practice focused on medical malpractice and catastrophic injury cases for individuals and families. The role starts as second chair and develops toward leading cases at trial.

What you will do

• Support senior trial counsel as second chair on complex malpractice matters
• Independently take and defend depositions, including expert and key witness depositions
• Draft and argue substantive motions and manage discovery, strategy and deadlines
• Work with medical professionals and nurse consultants on labor and delivery medicine
• Build case themes, assess liability and damages, and prepare matters for resolution or trial
• Take first-chair responsibility on assigned cases as readiness is shown

What they look for

• Licensed and in good standing with the Georgia State Bar
• At least seven years of civil litigation experience
• Background in medical malpractice or complex personal injury work
• Proven ability to take and defend depositions without supervision
• Strong motion practice and independent caseload management skills
• Genuine interest in mastering complex medical concepts

Pay

USD 180,000 to 220,000 per year
