Friends in Need Coordinator

About the role

Coordinate a peer support network that helps adults with mental health difficulties stay well through community activities and social groups in one local area.

What you will do

• Find engaging ways to reach people facing mental health difficulties and the isolation that often follows
• Keep a varied schedule of group activities and publicise the opportunities widely
• Help participants sustain their recovery using the Five Ways to Wellbeing
• Encourage members to set up and run their own social groups and exercise events
• Make sure groups and events operate safely and to a good standard
• Build partnerships with key agencies and stakeholders to develop the service

• Experience supporting adults with mental health difficulties or emotional distress while keeping proper boundaries
• Able to build positive relationships with service users and improve their quality of life
• Able to prioritise your own workload and manage your time well

Pay

GBP 17,743.24 to 25,250.00 per year
