Open Source Code Licensing Contributor

About the role

A program that evaluates existing software repositories and offers compensation when code owners license their source code. Owners of dormant or unused projects can find out what their code may be worth before deciding to proceed.

What you will do

• Submit an existing repository for an initial review of its licensing potential
• Receive an assessment of the codebase against the acceptance criteria
• Consider licensing options if the repository meets the criteria
• Get paid under the agreed terms once a transaction closes

What they look for

• Background in software development or ownership of an existing product or repository
• Access to original repositories, including discontinued products and internal tools
• No third-party material included that you are not allowed to sublicense
