A remote role handling sophisticated patent prosecution for corporate clients across electrical, computer, software and electromechanical fields. The attorney drafts applications and secures intellectual property rights for domestic and international portfolios.
What you will do
- Draft and prosecute US patent applications in electrical, computer, software, controls and electromechanical areas
- Shape prosecution strategies that safeguard clients' innovations and portfolios
- Prepare applications, amendments and replies to Office Actions and other prosecution papers
- Work with inventors, engineers and corporate clients to grasp complex technologies
- Handle matters through the application and examination process and support procurement in Europe and Asia
What they look for
- A Juris Doctor degree and active membership in at least one US state bar
- Current registration to practice before the USPTO
- Prosecution background in electrical, computer, software, controls or electromechanical technologies
- Solid drafting, legal writing, analytical and technical communication abilities
- Capacity to manage prosecution matters and communicate independently
