Remote Support Engineer

About the role

Provide remote technical support to customers, investigate issues and help engineers installing or servicing security systems. Keep clear records and test software releases.

What you will do

• Log all customer and engineer interactions in the ticket system
• Investigate and diagnose customer issues remotely and support engineers installing or upgrading systems
• Follow a defined ticket management process to meet targets
• Test software releases and apply fix releases to customer systems
• Share information with other departments and attend internal and external meetings
• Identify customer training needs and run offline testing on customer data

What they look for

• Three to five years in the electronic security service industry
• Comfortable with MS Office, Outlook and Excel
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative
• Excellent knowledge of networking and IP connectivity
• Understanding of intruder, fire, CCTV, time and attendance and access control systems
