Senior Backend Engineer (Golang)

About the role

A senior backend role on a video platform team serving a large streaming business with over a hundred million users. The work focuses on reliable, scalable services behind video delivery, partner integrations and publishing.

What you will do

• Build and improve backend services in Go and Node.js within a microservices architecture
• Develop REST APIs and event-driven services on AWS messaging platforms
• Write maintainable, well-tested code following SOLID principles
• Design and evolve service architecture with serverless and event-driven patterns
• Deploy and run services with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, supporting CI/CD workflows
• Monitor and debug systems with observability tooling and take part in on-call rotations

What they look for

• Strong Go proficiency with working knowledge of Node.js
• Experience building distributed microservices and API-driven systems
• Hands-on work with REST APIs and event-driven backends
• Production experience with AWS and Kubernetes (EKS)
• Familiarity with Terraform, GitHub Actions and ArgoCD

Nice to have

• Interest in machine learning, NLP and AI
