What you will do

  • Manage a large caseload of pre-litigation and litigated casualty claims
  • Investigate claims to confirm coverage and establish liability, compensability and damages
  • Set reserves and negotiate settlements within assigned authority
  • Attend mediations, arbitrations, depositions or trials as needed
  • Explain coverage and settlement details to insureds, claimants and outside partners
  • Authorize payments within limits and keep claim files complete and current

  • Generally 15 or more years handling property and casualty claims, casualty preferred
  • Experience with abuse and fatality claims is a plus
  • Commercial lines claims experience preferred
  • Active adjuster's license, ideally in CT, FL, KY, NC, NM, SC or TX
