What you will do
- Run an active immigration docket from strategy through filing, hearings and resolution
- Cover USCIS, humanitarian and removal defense matters, including asylum, waivers and bonds
- Oversee attorneys and paralegals with clear standards for deadlines and hearing readiness
- Review and improve filings before they are submitted
- Set case theory, evidence and filing strategy, including for detained clients
- Track deadlines and case activity in MyCase and internal calendars
What they look for
- At least ten years of US immigration law experience
- Solid background in USCIS matters, humanitarian immigration and removal defense
- An active license in good standing in any US state
- Authorization to appear before EOIR
- Prior experience supervising attorneys and paralegals
- Ability to manage an independent docket and deadlines
Nice to have
- Experience with detained and non-detained hearings
- Texas Bar membership or immigration law board certification
- Spanish language ability
