A senior engineering role owning a unified observability framework across metrics, logs, traces and events. The engineer also leads reliability practices, automation and cloud native monitoring for clients.
What you will do
- Architect and govern a unified observability framework spanning metrics, logs, traces and events
- Define service level indicators, objectives and error budgets and lead major incident response
- Reduce detection and resolution times and alert noise through correlation and dependency mapping
- Automate deployment and configuration of monitoring agents and telemetry collectors
- Design observability for containerized, microservice and multi cloud environments
- Lead knowledge transfer programmes and mentor cross functional engineering teams
What they look for
- Experience with IBM Instana, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Telegraf and InfluxDB
- Familiarity with legacy monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Netcool, Elastic or Splunk
- Hands on knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift and major cloud platforms
- Automation and DevOps skills using Ansible, Terraform, Python and GitOps
