Senior Software Engineer, User Management

About the role

A back end engineering role building and running a user management API that handles tenants, users, groups, access control and identity provider integrations for a platform many cloud customers rely on.

What you will do

• Design and build features in the user management API, including tenant lifecycle, user and group administration and role based access contro
• Maintain the API authentication model and the authorization rules behind it

What they look for

• Five or more years building production back end services in C and .NET, including ASP.NET Core Web API, dependency injection and async patte
• Hands-on identity and access management experience with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, claims design and key rotation
• Experience with multi-tenant user, role and permission models including tenant isolation
• Production experience with an enterprise identity provider such as Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Auth0 or Ping
• Solid SQL Server and EF Core skills, including migrations and query performance
• Experience designing and versioning APIs other teams depend on, and knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and least privilege

Nice to have

• Okta Management API or SDK, event hooks, inline hooks or Okta Identity Engine
• Microsoft Graph, especially app registrations, service principals and credential management
• Azure Key Vault, App Configuration, Managed Identity and Data Protection
